We then found the Burren so interesting,
and the prehistoric and early Christian sites just amazed us.
We loved driving the Connemara area, seeing peat harvested,
the little seaside towns and spectacular scenery. We soon discovered that all of the seacoast areas of Ireland has spectacular scenery. We then headed to Derry and Northern Ireland where a B & B host told us we must see the Donegal seacoast as the cliffs were the largest in Europe. This was a day we hadn't planned and looking back we perhaps should have not done it as we never got to Cobh, Cork, nor Blarney, which we had planned for later in our trip. The drive to these cliffs was frightening but thrilling and we did enjoy the day but it took a lot of time.
and then we went to the Giant's Causeway, Bushmills
and Dunluce Castle,
down the lovely Antrim Coast
to Belfast. ol
